Bested, Joan Margaret

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay in her 72nd year.  Beloved wife of Gordon Bested of Lindsay for 52 years.  Loving mother of Randa (Ken Treisch) and Tracy (Peter Woronecki).  Grandmother of Eric, Bryan, Keith, Alyssa, Matthew and Kyle.  Sister of Allan Hartfree (Doreen).  Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy and Mary.  Joan will be missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  The family would like to thank the nurses at the Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their understanding and care.  The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road (corner of McLaughlin and Moose Road), Lindsay on Friday, September 19th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  Funeral service to take place in the chapel on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged by Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, PO Box 236, Lindsay, K9V 4S1.  705-324-1988.  Online condolences may be made at www.parkerfuneralhome.ca
